A brawl on the floor of the Ukraine's parliament left a member with a torn ear and others thrown out of the session.

The mayhem was broadcast live on the Ukraine's parliamentary channel.

The fight broke out when the opposition tried to prevent two newly-elected members, who were suspected of changing their political views, from being sworn in.

According to Ukrainian law, police can't intervene when it comes to a fight between members ... many of whom are professional athletes.

The doors to the chamber were eventually locked ... but then broken down.

The session had to be suspended but was expected to resume today

Did you make that post out of ignorance or just to be a #######? I read where you posted that you lived in Ukraine so I would be very surprised if you didn't know about Yanko's criminal past, his ties with Putin or his hard on against Yulia and anyone associated with the Orange Revolution.

Yeah, I just know a lot more than you do because I don't get my news solely from mass media. The situation is quite complicated, and "poor" Yulia should be behind bars, that's where criminals belong.

Now, don't get me wrong, the current president and his posse belong there too, but it's just not their turn yet.

As far as being a "puppet" for Russia - again, that's how it's viewed and presented, but is not completely true. Yanukovich wants to suck Russia's d!ick, but Russia is not all that interested at the moment. They have other plans.

Again, you don't know the situation in the regions, may I presume? South is being taken over by Russian "mafia" to offset the gains by the East Ukraine organization that came there and exerted their influence for a while.

The West (Ukraine) is opposed to the ruling party because they are just that - they are opposed to everyone.

The point is, the country is being torn apart by the people who just want to line their pockets some more (not like they need to, really, they are quite wealthy) before they get booted by the electorate.

Leonid Razvozzhayev <---- this name ring any bells? He was a gift to Tsar Putin from Yanko not so long ago. Just like when Yanko handed the naval base in Sevastopol over to Tsar Putin even after Russian politicians made nationalistic remarks to the press in regards to the Crim including Tsar Puitn referring to Ukraine as "Little Russia" or even worse a border land that's not a real country.

Agreed that both the West and Russia want a piece of Ukraine and for obvious strategic reasons.

Here's a testament to the countries of the Eastern Slavs aka Rus.

1) Russia = dictatorship (Controlled Democracy is a term for the ignorant)

2) Belarus = dictatorship

3) Ukraine = well on it's way to becoming a dictatorship if the constitution ever gets ratified. (*see Belarus & Russia in regards to that one).

It won't though. It looks like it's slipping into that, but in the end - no, it won't. Just like Russia is divided into many parts (some of which could give two sh!ts about who is in charge in Moscow), so is Ukraine.

The South and the West parts will keep it in the balance. And yes, please tell me more about Sevastopol

I think everything west of Kyiv including Kyiv might be better off cutting itself from the Russified east and going it's own way as in forming a new country.

Our Ukrainian neighbors when I was a kid had hard feelings in regards to Russians over Communism, WW2, etc... It's like those people wanted nothing to do with Russia or any Russian settlers living in Ukraine. Two farms over we had Lithuanian neighbors who had pretty much the same opinion as the Western Ukrainians. BTW both families came to the US either during or right after the war.

Ukraine is Ukraine. It's not a part of Russia and never will be. Western Ukraine just hates everybody straight up who is not Ukrainian (yeah, forget the fact that HALF of them aren't either, but we'll leave it to the real "patriots" of the country to sort out).
