Hello everyone, my mother-in-law is a Permanent Resident and have filed for her sons and daughters. Her first I-130 petition was filed in June 2012 and within two weeks she had a priority date of 12 June 2012. Since then she has filed for her son and daughter since July 2012 and we have not received any notices from USCIS......is it normal to be this long without any respond?? all I-130 petitions went to the Chicago Lockbox and we live in Virginia. Thank you in advance on any info provided.

No. Your MIL should have received receipts by now. all I-130 petitions went to the Chicago Lockbox and we live in Virginia. Thank you in advance on any info provided.

Has the checks been cashed? Did the mail actually received? Is your MIL's address correct on the I-130?

If the checks have been cashed, then USCIS must have received the petitions/

If the checks have not been cashed, then the mail may have been lost.

Double check the address on the I-130s. Was mail sent to the wrong place?

Thanks Diamond, I will have to call them but, I am not sure which processing center has the petitions, I read that once the Chicago Lockbox receives the petitions they forward to one of the Service Centers.

What are the ages of her children? Have you received i-797c (Notice of Action) for each i-130 petition?
