Well, after double and triple checking the petition, and a looooooong wait at the Post Office, Rossel's petition was sent off today. Got all the way to the car, sat down and realized I forgot the G-1145.

Ugh....

So, went through the loooooong line again, retrieved the package, came home and filled out the missing form. I know it's optional BUT I'd like the updates!

Went back to the Post Office, shorter line thank GOD! After two trips to the Post Office, three times through Christmas rush lines and two Priority Mail postages paid the petition is off to USCIS!

Crossing my fingers for a speedy approval with NO RFEs!

Thank you VJ members for all the assistance and advice so far. I'm sure I will have many more questions in the coming years!

Good luck.

Now that you have done all of the retrieval and re-mailing... once you get the first 797 that notifies you that USCIS have accepted the petition you can go online and sign up for notices also without completing the 1145.

Now its time to learn some drinking songs to pass the many months of waiting ahead.

Here is too a speedy approval for you and your sweetheart.

Thank you!

Good luck to all of you.

The wait is long and difficult; but very much worth it.

Thank you very much!

It will be a long wait but a drop in the bucket when it comes to a lifetime!

Good Luck!

Check the guides and start a checklist for what you will need in a few months.

Thank you for the advice! I'm taking a quick break after the stress of getting her petition together and then I'll start tackling the next steps!

Good luck on your journey (F)

Thank you very much!
