I just wanted to share my anecdotal story about my in-laws who were just recently approved.

Both MIL and FIL are mid 50s, with no major assets, but did have records on FIL's position as a handyman for a state owned enterprise and their house book. They were approved with basically no questions asked.

However, my sister in law, who is early 20s and single was also approved. She was asked a few questions about her status as a university student, but she was also approved without much hassle.

I don't know if this is part of the recent directive to lighten up on some of the visitor visa applications, but it certainly seemed like a much easier experience than what had been past precedent. Hopefully, others will have similar success in the future getting visitor visa for visiting family from China.

It certainly seems so.

I had a Chinese friend with his wife (late 20s) visit the U.S recently, they did the visa application themselves, and it was super easy, and not much questions asked at the interview, and approved right away.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
