i've often wondered why you keep doing that. 'take the guns away from responsible law abiding citizens & the gun violence will go away'..

That's not the argument I've been making. That's what your and the gun nuts knee-jerk perception of my actual argument is.

You, on the other hand, keep comparing apples and oranges - or guns and cars in this case.

Let's see if I can put this in terms even you can understand. If every person of legal drinking was limited by law to 2 drinks in a 24 hour period, would that cut down on the amount of drunk driving deaths? If any person caught providing alcohol illegally to minors faced a mandatory 10 year jail sentence, would that cut down on the amount of teens killed in alcohol related deaths every year? Basic math, it's so easy to grasp.

And if you ban alcohol, drinking would stop entirely! Oh wait...

its your arguement everytime the subject of guns is discussed. you can deny it all you want. you know its true.

I don't see anyone in here saying "take the guns away from the law abiding citizens" ... did I miss that?

quit staring at kip's ball. it'll be easier to keep up.

No it wouldn't stop entirely, but there sure would be a heck of a lot less drinking going on, which is exactly my point.

Did he post that ball again? My brain must block it out by now.

Either way, the argument you say is being made ... isn't, actually. But it's okay.

Ever notice how the "good ole boy" network are the first to stand up and shout for their personal rights, but then they turn right around and tell everyone else what they can and cannot do? Comical really. Thank goodness they're shrinking in numbers and pretty fast too.

No, it isn't. Where have I advocated denying law abiding citizens the right to own guns?

what did you mean here?

What's sad is that these nutters all have easy access to the guns with which they kill innocent people. It's that easy access to guns that I fault not the gun itself.

Should I try Chinese? Most states have a two year mandatory minimum sentence for first time offenders in regards to people found with illegal firearms yet it is rarely enforced by the authorities. Now talk it out with the cops and the courts and ask them why they don't enforce the laws they already have on the books.

Lots of states keep lowering the alcohol limit in regards to DWI/DUI's even though the ones they already have make it illegal to drink a single beer and then drive seeing how that one beer will put you over the limit if you take a breathalizer withing X amount of time after drinking that one 12oz. beer yet they continue to keep lowering the limit. It's about enforcing the laws already on the books. Kind of like how the US doesn't enforce it's own immigration laws.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."
