It makes all the sense in the world to someone who is serious about gun control. You are not.

I'm being realistic. I gave realistic answers to your post.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

what if you left the keys on the coffee table?

If the person has the keys, it is implied that he has permission to drive the car. You would have the burden of proof to show he first stole the keys with the intend of stealing the car, not just taking it to the store to get more beer.

Yup, I suggest we just give up. Why not just give out guns for free to everyone? at least that way we'll all have a fighting chance.

None of it. Are you saying he "stole" the gun from a locked safe and removed the trigger lock?

When someone breaks into your house you will ask them to wait until you open your safe, unlock your trigger and load your ammo as this was the idea suggested by the people who have gun phobia.

Actually they should consider that. I know it souds crazy, but what else can they do. I personally don't own a gun, so I don't have dog in this fight, but it seems what they're doing now isn't working.

If you cannot come to terms with less guns and tougher gun laws equating to fewer gun deaths, then no, you are not being realistic.

I've already listed many things that can be done, and they will work to help diminish the amount of gun deaths that we have each year. If you chose to ignore them, that's your choice.

Yeah gun buy-backs. I thought you were making a joke. I didn't realize you were being serious.

I explained this to you already. Limiting the amount of guns a person can own is not going to stop the wingnut who wants to shoot someone in a suburban mall or movie theater. It's not going to cut down on the thousands of gun related deaths committed every year in the US inner cities by thugs.

And again most all states have a mandatory two year minimum sentence for first time offenders in regards to possessing an unlicensed firearm yet that law is rarely enforced by the authorities for the fact the jails and prisons are already past full capacity. Now try again but this time think it through.

Let's see if I can put this in terms even you can understand. If every person of legal drinking was limited by law to 2 drinks in a 24 hour period, would that cut down on the amount of drunk driving deaths? If any person caught providing alcohol illegally to minors faced a mandatory 10 year jail sentence, would that cut down on the amount of teens killed in alcohol related deaths every year? Basic math, it's so easy to grasp.
