I've been waiting almost 6 months for my NOA2 so when I looked at my phone and received a text message from USCIS I was so excited until I opened it. The text said "Your case EAC is now updated. Check "My Case Status" at www.uscis.gov I know that isn't what an approval is supposed to look like so I checked my case number online. Is says On December 11, 2012, your address was changed relating to the I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) that you filed. Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. Please wait until the end of normal processing time before calling customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for live assistance. The thing is I never changed my address. So I called USCIS and spoke to a tier 2 officer who said my address was the same in the computer and it doesn't look like anything changed then he told me I had to wait another 60 days to be approved but not to worry he thought it would be more like 30 days. I told him I wanted him to check with VSC I don't want them to extend another 6 months bc they decided to change my address even though I never did that. What do you think this means? I am really nervous and he told me that in two more weeks VSC should possibly have updated the information on the website bc he emailed them about the fact that I never changed my address.

Does anyone know if this means I am going to be waiting more time or maybe I've been approved and they put the wrong thing in the computer or something. The tier 2 officer told me he had no idea.

We also had an message saying the address has been updated on December 11th.

We never thought anything of it as we changed our address by mail earlier on in the process and figured they are just updating our electronic file.

Now Im worried (even more so than I was being nearly 8 months from NOA1 anyway!)
