Hello Everyone!

Finally after several days of worrying about a wrong appointment letter sent to our e-mail by US Embassy Abu Dhabi, we finally receive yesterday the right appointment letter for us. I am now checking on the requirements for Medical, I called up one hospital approved by USEM AD and I was told by the hospital receptionist that i have to bring my original, passport, 3pcs 2x2 ID picture, payment of AED 900 and records of vaccination. My question is what if I don't have my vaccination records, will I still be allowed to undergo the medical? And lastly, when is the best time to have my medical exam if my interview schedule in on 1st week of February 2013?

Thank you in advance and God bless! :)

Hi,

You dont need the original passport if you cant get it since your employer is keeping it, a copy is fine and also the medical should be around 800-1000aed depends on what shot you need. If you dont have the vaccination record than you dont need to bring it with you. They wont make a big deal out of it. Mainly they will just ask you a couple questions regarding your health. Overall i think the embasy in Abu dhabi is really one of the best because they are not as strict as other embassy. Good luck...

I called up the 2 hospitals listed on the link given by USEM AD [Mideast PolyClinic & New Medical Center Dubai], both hospitals gave me a different rate that I need to pay for the Medical (Mideast Polyclinic - approx. AED900; NMC Dubai - approx. AED 1,500), makes me wonder why both are giving different rate. Where did you had your medical exam by the way?
