Hi

I will be US Citizen next month and would like to apply for Green Card for parents. I am from India.

Please confirm:

1) I will be filing 130 for Father and Mother

2) Above would fall under F-4 .

3) Current processing time is 2001.

incorrect.

one i130 for each parent, the wait is around from 8 months to a year, they are considered immediate relatives

F4 is for siblings of a USC. not parents.

there is no waiting time for parents, only the time it takes for processing and interview at consular level

2) Above would fall under F-4 . No. It's an Immediate Relative case.

3) Current processing time is 2001. No. An Immediate Relative case takes about 1 year.

When a US citizen petitions for a parent, it is an Immediate Relative case. You start by filing Form I-130. The case will take about 6-12 months for an immigration visa.
