this question is for the people that have had their interview at the US Embassy in Lagos Nigeria

the lawyer that was filling this petition for me said she made payment for the visa she sent me the receipt

and the payment on it is #39,600 nigerian naira but i've seen so many post from other nigerians here saying they paid $350 US Dollars which i calculated by #156 and is #59,600 nigerian naira this dont add up to me attal why is the one she paid for in the bank cheaper than the ones people pay for at the embassy? dose this means she paid for the wrong thing?

do i need to prepare another $350 for my interview? and am i to pay only in dollars? what if i bring naira?

i have included in this post the receipt sent to me that i have to submit at the embassy as my visa payment i blank my personal datas

We didn't interview in Lagos, but the fee is the same for all k1 visas. The petition fee is $350. That was paid in the beginning. Now you are at the interview phase. You will be paying the visa application fee, which is $240. Good luck on your interview.

The visa fee is $240 which is paid by the benefiaciary at the embassy on the day of the interview. The lawyer cannot pay that for you, he is playing game with you. Tell your fiancee to get to the interview with $240. That's the rule.

you are supposed to bring your fees with you, last Iknow. so to be safe, take the DOLLAR amount with you to the embassy so you are not turned back. You could show them the 'receipt' and just see their reaction. I hope you get your money back if that is the case.

You said that you saw people say they paid 350. The 350 your reading is for the petition. So your lawyer was correct

No one can pay that Visa fee but the immigrant. It's paid at the embassy not online. First the amount is $110 to much and well they are lying. Ask your lawyer what payment portal did they use or ailing address they used to send payment? And where did they get that amount.

Yes they are either playing you or so vapidly stupid they can't read simle instructions and know who pays what where.

I swear, I have seen some big messes on this site caused by so called immigration lawyers. And cases that don't use lawyers, just advice from one to another, seem to have less problems. I agree about asking the lawyer exactly how and to who the alleged payment was made. It doesn't make sense.
