AP? should i fill it out or not

Hello VJ'ers. I apologize if this question has been answered already, but I am just looking for a bit of clarification. For the AP, the form asks for the date of trip. Right now, there is no trip planned, but in case anything were to come up, I want to have AP. How should that be filled out?

You can put "unknown." AP is routinely approved for people with I-485 pending.

Apply for AP.

It is better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it.

If you need to take an emergency trip outside the US while adjusting, you will need AP to leave without abandoning the process.
