I have filed a CR-1 petition for my wife. She is Dominican and lives in Santiago. I called the NVC today and spoke to a woman named "Peggy". I was told that my process was completed yesterday. It took the NVC exactly one week to process my AOS and the same to process my IV. A total of two weeks in processing time. The woman said that they were in the process of scheduling my interview and that I would be informed when the appointment was made. I asked how long it would take to receive a letter stating that the NVC was finished with my application and she said that there was no time frame. I asked for a ball park figure and she said that she did not know, but that I should probably hear something in about 10 business days.

Is this normal? I would feel better if I received an email and/or letter stating that my AOS and IV were both approved and that they were going to schedule an interview for me and my wife. I guess that I am back to waiting. Again...........

you will receive an email scheduling an interview with all the instructions, in about a week. My case went just as fast, I was never notified of any of the forms' approval. After I sent in the AOS but, before I sent in the DS-230, I received an email saying that I needed to send in my DS-230 to complete the case. I sent it in and after a week I received an email with an scheduled interview, straight from the NVC, so fast that the IV Unit at the embassy did not have a record of the interview until two weeks prior to the interview. and, the interview was scheduled in 28 days!, it went fast. Believe me, your case is moving FAST. I don't think you will have to wait very long.

This is correct! You don't receive an email confirmation on whether or not your documents have been competed. The only time you will rec'd an email from NVC is if you are missing something and they send you a checklist otherwise, Congratulation on you case being completed that moved VERY fast for you... Just give it a few more days before you rec'd there email instructing you on the next step. (medicals and other fees that need to be made before the interview).
