11/5/12 Mailed N-400 Package

11/7/12 Delivered N-400

11/15/12 Received Letter they received N-400

11/17/12 Received Appt for Biometric

11/27/12 Went and did Biometric

12/10/12 Received Letter for Interview

1/10/13 Interview

We are going thru the Greer, SC office of USCIS

I saw on the Internet that some offices have the oath ceremony at the same time of the interview if they pass the test. I have not been able to fine if Greer, SC is one of those offices. I want to go with hubby to interview but letter said not to bring anyone with you unless it is for transportation or translation. They said it is about 2 hours and his appointment is at 2:00.

Just got off the phone with USCIS office and they can't tell me if they will do the oath ceremony the same day as the interview but there is a chance they could. I explained that I wanted to be there for the ceremony but did not need to come just for the test / interview. She just said she could not tell me either way. I have heard that the ceremony is a Big Deal and family comes. I really would like for our son (7 years old) to be there when his dad becomes a citizenship but hate to keep him out of school for no reason if they schedule it later. Has anyone else had their Oath Ceremony immediately following their interview.

Are you sure? this link claims they don't do same day oath: http://forums.immigr...898-Greer-SC-Do

This link (post 6) refers to Greer interviewees that didn't get same day oath: http://forums.immigration.com/showthread.php?238451-Going-to-Charleston-SC-for-interview

Post 7 and 8 here also seems to refer to people interviewing in Greer (despite bio in Charlotte) http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/300588-interview-in-greer-sc/
