Hello everyone. I read the process flow specific for the Dominican Republic (thank you to all who contributed, it has been like a bible to me) but it says to call the NVC for information on the interview. The NVC is not only taking very long but they are also saying that they don't provide information on the interview. Need some light here please!!!

I am in the same boat as you. I called the NVC today and spoke to a woman named "Peggy". I was told that my process was completed yesterday. It took the NVC exactly one week to process my AOS and the same to process my IV. A total of two weeks. The woman said that they were in the process of scheduling my interview and that I would be informed when the appointment was made. I asked how long it would take to receive a letter and she said that there was no time frame. I asked for a ball park figure and she said that she did not know but that I should probably hear something in about 10 business days.

NVC only does interview scheduling for spouse visas so they will be no help to you. Call the DOS for any question you have as they have access to your case regardless were it is, and it doesn't take as long to get through. Their number is (202-663-1225 option 1 then 0).

The NVC does scheduling for your case. If you have not gotten anything in 10 days try on the 2nd of the month as others from the DR did this for the spouse visa and they were given their interview date.
