Hi all, I am putting together everything for the AOS interview :) Just want to check that I have everything. As for what's listed on the interview notice, I'm good I think. My question I guess is, do I just take a copy of everything I have along with some originals like birth certificates etc.? I have everything in a binder, separated with tabs for easy look up. Is one copy enough? Also, what docs are good for showing proof of relationship. We have a joint account, I obviously live with him, house is in his name only right now though. I still am driving with my out of state license. Would some mail addressed to me at at the same address help? we have pics of the wedding(s)

anything else that might not be obvious? Thanks!

Take evidence of your joint account. Do you have a joint car insurance? joint health insurance? Bills with both your names?

Take some wedding pics, and pictures taken after your wedding until now.

Random mail addressed to you at your husband's address is kind of a weak evidence... joint bills is a stronger evidence. They want strong evidences that you and your husband have a legit relationship and so have a joint life.

Take all the originals, make one copy of originals you would not give. If it happens that you don't have a copy of an original, they have photocopiers there, and the IO can make one quickly (that happened to me and my husband, the IO left a few minutes to make copies of our health insurance cards).

Agree with didopage. Additionally, use the checklist on the appointment form as guide for what you need to bring. I basically brought everything that I had, all originals ( and copies of the originals for their records, as necessary) and copies of any information that I had previously provided to USCIS during this immigration journey.

A lot depends on how you present yourselves, and the individual IO. We had a murky, screwball AOS interview. However, we were finally approved (and email notified an hour after the interview) without an RFE or other request.

YMMV

Good luck on your immigration journey.
