Should we rely on 100% on VJ processing time updates

Well it all depends are you close to your approval date? When I first added my NOA1 date my timeline said October then it went to Nov, Dec and at one point was around the middle of January. Now that I am closer it says Dec 22 - 29th. Unless you are close expect ur date to fluctuate a lot.

flcutuations you are mentiuoning are an estimate of the speed with which Service Center progresses at this moment, thus the estimate for a particulat case can and does moves around under assumption that Service Center will continue moving at the same speed it is right now. I think in the end of august-early september I was looking at estimated mid January, and then as october reached its middle it was speeding up to the point where estimate was shifting for earlier date every day, it got to around Dec 5, stayed there, then came up to 9-10, and that's when I got it.

And remember, its for the first touch, so if you get RFE - that adds additional time.

Hello

We are very new here. I am now getting a wonderful sense on what to expect when I read a persons signature here. Thank you for adding that folks.

Can someone answer what "touched" means and how do you know it has been ...by puting your case number in?

( We havent recieved the case number yet, its only about a week since I filed the peitiion)

No you should not rely 100% on the timeline here on VJ as some did not update their timeline. But you can use it as basis!!

March 26, 2009: We become a couple!
September 10, 2009: Arrived for first meeting in-person!
June 17, 2010: Arrived for second in-person meeting and start of travel together to other areas of China!
June 21, 2010: Engaged!!!
September 1, 2010: Switched course from K1 to CR-1
December 8, 2010: Wedding date set; it will be on February 18, 2011!
February 9, 2011: Depart for China
February 11, 2011: Registered for marriage in Wuhan, officially married!!!
February 18, 2011: Wedding ceremony in Shiyan!!!
April 22, 2011: Mailed I-130 to Chicago
April 28, 2011: Received NOA1 via text/email, file routed to CSC (priority date April 25th)
April 29, 2011: Updated
May 3, 2011: Received NOA1 hardcopy in mail
July 26, 2011: Received NOA2 via text/email!!!
July 30, 2011: Received NOA2 hardcopy in mail
August 8, 2011: NVC received file
September 1, 2011: NVC case number assigned
September 2, 2011: AOS invoice received, OPTIN email for EP sent

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

My timeline said I should be approved Dec 22 - Dec 29 and I was approved today Dec 13. Good luck
