Hello People,

I am new to this forum and need some help from you guys. Just curious to know about different types of visa available online for travelling purpose. Just stumble upon this word Transit Visa and would like to know little bit about it.

Can anyone tell me - What is Transit visa & who can apply for it?

Hi there!

Transit Visa - It's nothing but a visa allowing its holder to pass through a country but not to stay there.

For instance: Some countries require people from certain nationalities that are traveling

to a different destination other than their country, but with a stop in an airport in

their soil, to obtain a transit visa.

Usually is not hard to get them because you don't need to prove much other than having

a clean background. U.S.A. used to have this type before 9/11 but now it is required to

have a valid tourist visa, or a visa waiver for qualified countries to enter to

American Soil even if you are just changing planes.
