You know Sarah..always fugding the rules a bit  It is still Friday for me as I have not been to sleep yet (even though it is 1am!) I spent the evening with two wonderful girls from the MENA forum. It is the first evening that I have spent away from home and the computer in months!! I had a blast. We met at one persons house. She served us snacks and we talked about our experiences past and present with the visa adventure. Then walked around downtown Seattle a bit in search of a late meal. Wow did we have a great time. I will have to do that again.

Saturday will be spent packing for the trip, trying on some moroccan clothes (was supposed to do that tonight but oops stayed out a bit too late :P ) and then going to my grandma's birthday dinner...98!! :jest: I hope I can live a long and happy life like her. Probably take my son driving as his road test is next week. He asked Omar if he can drive in Maroc. I said boy you done lost your fool mind!!! They don't have lanes or rules over there.

Have a great Saturday everyone. Will look to see what is going with the rest of you after I get some sleep. -_-

I'm up babysitting my nephew today and Youssef is ticked. My nephew (Jamison) is 2 mo. old and had some shots yesterday. His dad (who I freaking hate with a passion) decided he wouldn't watch him while my sister went to work today so at 7:15 my phone rings "Do you think you could watch Jamie today?" Welllll..i just worked 40 plus hours last week and only have 2 days off but sure - 'cus I'm nice like that. Anyway I had promised Youssef today we would go get job applications and look at 2 more houses before we make a final decision on one. So now he thinks well we can't go because I have Jamie, but I told him we'll just take both the kids and go - no biggie. So basically I tried to do something nice and it backfires in my face as always. We might have headway on a job though. The place my sister works for is a call center and they are always (she says) looking for bi and tri lingual people to fill jobs. So she asked her supervisor if there was a need for an Arabic translator and he said "yea definetely!". So she is getting him an application there today and he'll have to go for an interview to make sure he's "fluent" enough in English to be able to translate. I really really hope he does well. It starts at like $10 an hour but once you meet your sales goal or whatever it is like $12-14 and you can set your own hours and work over as much as you want making time and a half. Soooo he could be making like $20 an hour sometimes! AND it has health insurance so that would totally totally help 'cus them we would have double insurance. Hopefully our hunt goes well.

Oh yea i didn't post yet but we have Youssef's GC interview November 27th!!! YEA!!

Yahooooooooooooo it's the weekend! I am off for 2 glorious days! Hope you all have a great day.

What's everybody's plans? I would have raked leaves but they are frozen. I should get an oil change for my car but who wants to waste a day off at the oil change place? I need suggestions!

Morning-

I'm off today too, cleaning house and getting ready for my nephews birthday party this afternoon.

I plasticed up the bedroom windows already, haven't had the energy yet to to the others but I will soon, its freezing here some mornings I can hardly get out of bed.

Anyway, I only put plastic on the inside, thats all I've ever done. Jac, Do you usually do the outside too?

Amera- He might be disappointed that your together plans were changed, but certainly he knows that its actually wonderful that you were in a position to be able to help your sister when she needed you. Someday his family will need his help with something and it will affect both of you....he must know that.

Anyway, Have a nice Saturday everybody!!

Today I'm going to a fiance party for my future SIL...via webcam. They asked my fiance if he would play the music and he said sure! He is taking his computer downstairs to where the party will be and setting up his webcam so that I will be 'with' him watching the party and chatting while he plays the music. :luv:

So I'm all excited...I've showered, I'm doing my finger/toenails, make-up, hair, plucked my eyebrows, I even shaved my legs and masked. Is this all a bit much? I'll be wearing my red dress (he REALLY needs to get me another color-so I have pictures in TWO dresses  ).

I little ditty about this party...His family was visited about 2 months ago by some friends (they brought the WHOLE family). The next day, one of the son's told his parents that he wanted to marry one of my fiance's sisters. They called my fiance's family and his sister agreed! Now 2 months later, they are having a fiance party! When I was there several months back, his family got a call from relatives in Italy and they had watched a video of one of my fiance's sisters fiance party, and one of the girls saw my fiance's brother and wanted to marry him. So they called my fiance's family and after my future BIL talked to and saw this girl on webcam, he said he wasn't interested. I can't quite wrap my mind around this at all!!!!! But I have to say it is very very interesting to witness!

Good morning everyone!

I have a lot of house cleaning to do today that I've totally been neglecting the past few weeks. I hate it with a passion, so I think I'll procrastinate a bit more and do it tonight. I'm going to see my sister swim and then out for pizza with the family.

Sarah - Have fun golfing, if you can. ;) Those sandwiches do sound yummo!

Congrats, Amanda on your interview date! Youssef must be so excited!

Maggie - who didya meet? or is it a secret? :P

Have fun all!

Today is my youngest sons' 21st birthday, so we're doing his party at my sisters at lunch today (we don't get him at night, his friends do). All I have to take toward the meal is broccoli with cheese sauce and sodas. I got off easy because I have way too much homework.

I just finished reloading the analysis software on my computer for the economics research project and realized I forgot how to use it since the last time. Now I have to get out the manual and figure it out again. I still have 5 variables to collect the data on for all of the congresspeople, and that's due Wednesday night - fed into the software I still have to figure out how to get it into again.

I also have a Spanish test Thursday night so I have a list of irregular stem-changing verbs to memorize, as well as the whole food list. Then our script for our final exam skit is due the 16th, so I have to get my part written and pray that my teammates write theirs.

I also need to get the checkbook balanced and the bills paid again (didn't I just do that?) and of course the laundry is always there to keep me busy on the weekends.

I can't wait for Mondays!

MarocAmer and Zuki (of Zuki&Zizi). They are a blast, but then I think most of the MENA girls would be fun to hang with. Just some little issue with distance
