My fiancee went to Pinar de Rio and got help filling out his packet of papers that he received in Havana. The lady told him that I have to send him a letter giving him my permission to do the medical exam. Is this lady crazy because this is the first time i have heard of this. Also what papers do I need to send to him for his interview. I want to make sure that he has everything that is needed. Thanks everyone for your help:-)

your not making it very clear, did you file the 1-129f petition, you go to have your medical after your case is complete from the nvc and your file is sent to the consulate for interview, when your case is complete call the national visa center for your case number you can use that number to go an get your medical exam, bring a passport photo, the letter or interview appointment letter.

We have already been approved and his interview date is February 13. The packet that he picked up in Havana was in english and some of the forms have non-immigrant on them which the lady who helped him with filling out his packet of papers said they have him the wrong papers and that I have to send a letter to him giving him my permission to do the medical check.

I have never heard of this happening, although I too am new in this process. However, I have read so many forums, I'm starting to memorize this stuff lol. Anyways, if you can find exactly what you are asking from someone here, then click on the flag below your name. That will direct you to country specific information and you can review there. Just my opinion, I believe there is some miscommunication somewhere. And I would not think this would be required, but again it is only my opinion on that. Good Luck!!!
