FOR ANY OF YOU THAT WILL BE GOING THROUGH THE BOGOTA EMBASSY,,MY FIANCE AND I WENT TO THE EMBASSY IN PERSON 5 DAYS AFTER THE NVC SENT THE PETTION TO BOGOTA AND PICKED UP PACKET THREE. THE PERSONELL WERE VERY HELPFUL AND SAID THAT WE COULD FILL OUT THE TWO FORMS THAT WERE NEEDED,,TURN THEM IN TO THEM IN PERSON AND WE WOULD BE SCHEDULED FOR AN INTERVIEW IN THE NEXT FEW WEEKS..THEY WERE EXTREMELY PERSONABLE AND FREINDLY...JUST GO TO THE IMMIGRANT/NON IMMIGRANT GATE BETWEEN 12 AND 1....I KNOW NOT EVERYONE CAN TRAVEL TO THE CONSULATE,,BUT IF YOU CAN,,YOU MAY BE ABLE TO SPEED UP THE PROCESS QUITE A BIT...

Thanks for this posting.

My papers just left NVC and should arrive first of next week.

We will try this next week. I will be going to visit her next week. I want to make sure we get a December appointment.

What were the two documents you had to turn in?

You only need the OF-169,,,a short version of the DF-2001,,,and part one of the DS-230,,,that was all,,,they are both in pack one along with the other papers you will need at the actual interview....good luck!!

By the way,,make sure you have your case number ,,should start with a BGT2006 then a six digit number....
