Hi everyone I’m new at this, but I need help if anyone has a similar situation during their process. I sent my I-130 in August 21st, and I received NOA on August 24th. Then I receive another NOA saying my case has been transfer to Lee's summit in NBC Missouri because they have jurisdiction over the case. So I got worry and send more information without them asking for it. I wrote Amending Case letter. Would this delay my processing time now? I think I should have gotten some type of letter by now. I’m going crazy. I want to travel back to see my husband, but I want to make sure I get the approval letter before I go.

I hope someone can help me. I have been away from husband since August 6th. I feel like I have been away from him for years. I can't wait additional 3month before I see him. I don't know what to do I'm really worry. Thanks

What is an amending case letter? And even though transfer to NBC has been quick for some its no guarantee. Usual processing of I-130 is 5 months. All you can do is call and inquire. They won;t let you put in a service request but you can ask. 109 is not long at all just hang on.

you are under normal processing times. what you need to do is WAIT. why you send amend case letter in the first place? who advised you to do this? It is not needed and yea it MIGHT delay your case even further who knows. right now do nothing and wait at least 5 months then start inquiring.

I was advised by my lawyer friend not to wait until they ask for more information, she told me to sent additional information to speed up the process and include amend case letter. I will just wait and keep pray to get the approval soon.

Please call into USCIS hotline, and ask for an ISO.

Once you have an ISO, go over the casefile status with the ISO,

and if you learn of new stuff since 24 August, please post it back here?

Thanks so much !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

They are backlog!!!!

As of today they are working on files from May 21st, which mean they will not be getting to August files until 4-6 weeks from now. Is anything I can be doing well waiting?

Vermont will not be handling your petition.

Your petition will have been sent to NBC and could/should be approved any day now.

Did you speak with a tier 2 ISO? or just the first person that picked up the phone?

It won't change anything but are you ready for NVC? If you're not it will be easier to complete all the paperwork for NVC while you're in the states. Why don't you postpone your trip until it's time for the interview and then go, that way you can even attend the interview with your spouse.
