Give them 12 weeks, then contact your Senetor. I waited for 6 months, contacted congressman and then got visa within weeks. I don't know if I had contacted congressman before, it would have been same turnover.

Hi Jazzly,

I have been in AP for more than 6 months now. But I involved congressman right after my interview not realizing I should've waited two months. I hope thats not the reason for delay. Did they tell you why you were put in AP?

Do you know approximately how much longer it could take for my visa? Thanks

fez - don't beat yourself up. they generally don't want to deal with inquiries until you've waited the 60 days.

any work on your case status?

are you checking the CEAC website?

how long have you been in AP now? what countries are listed on your application?

we were told it's mandatory AP. they informally said it's because of my husband's muslim name (even though he is not religious at all). so it's 'homeland security' - back ground checks and all that jazz.
