I have heard of people taking in chats from facebook and other social websites, to prove there is indeed ongoing relationship. So my question is how do I do that? I know e-mail and skype are much easier to do that, but most of our messaging has been thru facebook. I am not very good with computers, other than navigating internet lol. So, could you break it down to a way that I can understand please, it would greatly be appreciated!!!

I have heard of people printing out screen shots of messages. I figured out that there is a way to forward messages to your email.

The email you receive has all the messages time stamped with date and time. Print that from your email or copy and paste to Word.

Search Facebook HELP to find out the steps to do this.

Good luck! :thumbs:

No, I have not tried that. I am very unfamiliar with computers, other than basic navigating. But I will try that, as well.

To the OP;

If you need help PM me and I'll do my best to assist you

Yes, I have been told that it shouldn't be every conversation. Most officers will only be aggravated, when handed a "book" of chatlogs or things of that nature. So, just as long as it can be established there is an on-going relationship with evidence, with sporadic dates since beginning the application. I plan on taking a variety of things, instead of one specifically. I will include: pictures, cell phone call log, chat log, affidavits from both sides of our family confirming and approving our relationship, stamped envelopes from mail carriers from times I have mailed gifts, and so forth (but not going overboard on any of those things). I have actually heard, that most times, these things are not even looked at or asked for. But better to be prepared, in case they do.

A friend of mine, said they went thru similar situation. Their response to me was to copy and paste messages from facebook into word or notepad on computer. Then delete any graphics from there, as well as eliminating excessive messages, and print. Thanks to all, who have commented on this thread. I'm sure there will be others to come along, who wonder the same, and this will help them.

Melissa, I can see from all your posts that you are all over the place. Have you decided on an immigration path for you SO yet? Will it be a K1 visa or a CR1?

Lol....yes I am practically living on immigrations laws and procedures right now, hoping that once I have everything in order, I can slow down. It is becoming much clearer to me though :) I am going to continue with original K1 application, being it is already in progress. If it is denied, for other reasoning than the I-601 waiver approval, then I will be going to Mexico and marry fiance then start the CR1 process. However, if we are unable to get the waiver approved, there isn't going to be any more options to pursue :( So, I am giving my all, to be successful.

Good!

Don't drive yourself crazy, though. Your fiance had some deportation issues in the past, correct? Have you consulted with a lawyer?

I guess I am just an over-thinker, sometimes that is a good thing, but can bring lots of stress. No my fiance entered illegally into the US(EWI)and remained there for 8 years. He was never arrested, detained, or deported and left the country completely voluntarily. He has no record whatsoever, other than me being truthful on the application, that he was in fact here in the US. So, being that the time is well over 180 days, he will be denied in interview and then we will have to submit the waiver (which thankfully we have concrete grounds of extreme hardship for myself and permanently disabled mother). I have consulted with several different lawyers before submitting application. But felt there was no one who would work harder on our case, than myself. They could not guarantee an approval, being that would be out of their hands. So, I just listened to their advice, and began this alone. If he had of had more issues other than illegal entry (and only on 1 occasion), then I probably would have hired a lawyer to fight this case. I am organizing a file of everything we will need, thru the whole process now, and will just update periodically thru the entire way. Then it will be well laid out and I will be less likely to have mistakes.

Gotcha!

You have a lot of months ahead of you. Try to take it easy or it will take a toll on you! It's good that you've taken everything in your own hands, even if it was only to be informed; but don't overload your brain with information, because it will just confuse you yes.gif
