If she can get one.

Yes, you'd need to meet again first. A B2 may be difficult for her to get, but worth a try. If that is not possible, you can visit her.

Lets assume she gets the tourist visa (B1/2) max she can stay here is 6 months, do you think you would be ready to get married in 6 months?

As most of your post you are pointing that you both are 19 and 18… so do you think you would be ready to marry when you are 19.5 and her 18.5?

what are some things that would prevent her from obtaining one?

Lack of ties to China. What are her reasons to return home after a visit to the US?

If she tells the consular officer that she wants a visitor visa to go to the US and apply for a fiancee visa, then she will never be allowed to get a non-immigrant visitor visa with the intent to immigrate.

If she is poor and has no properties or good job, then she is unlikely to get a visitor visa.

The main thing the US is concern with when deciding to issue a visitor visa is "Will this person go home after visiting the US?" If it looks like your girl will try to apply to stay and immigrate to the US during her visit, she is not going to get the visitor visa at her interview.

So you haven't met in 6 years, which would have made you 12 and 13 at the time?

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Just the family would not be considered as strong ties....she is willing to leave her family to live with u in US anyways.

Job depends on what kinda job it is - also what job would let her take vacation for 6 months?

she is in charge of a grocery dept. of some sorts. i guess i will have to go to china for one day to qualify as seeing her in the past 2 years. thanks for the help guys/gals it means a whole lot.

Seriously, you haven't seen her since you we're 12 years old, you guess at her profession, and you want to bring her over for 6 months to test the waters because you are not ready for marriage.

Go visit her and develop a real relationship before you do anything else.

I am not laughing at you. I'm trying to help me.

If you think I'm being an #######, wait until the US Embassy looks at this case. Based on the information you have provided, there's no way she's getting a visa to the US. You need to go to China and develop a relationship with this girl qualify for the K-1 visa.

Do you want to present the best possible case or file baseed on your current situation?

Good luck.
