I see you filed for K-3. If you followed the K-3 path all the way through, and not the IR-1/CR-1, you should have an approved I-130 sitting at NVC waiting on documents from you. If that is the case, this is a good thing. This would mean you could continue down the IR-1/CR-1 path. You still need to find out what the problem was at the interview, and what caused the 221g and overcome those issues.

 Definitely worth looking into!!!

Search for Tany1157 she and her husband had 2 denials through Casablanca. a k-1 and a cr1 and they succeeded in overcoming it. Her husband has been in the US several months now.

I received a response from the Congressman case workers inquirey today. Basically telling us nothing that we did not already know. We still do not know the initial reason for denial other than 221(g) as previosly posted. So it seems the waiting game continues for 6-8 months for a reply.

Here is the email sent:

USCIS electronic records indicate the above referenced case was approved on 6/29/2012. The approval notice was mailed to the petitioner’s address on file. The case was then transferred to the State Department’s National Visa Center (NVC). On 12/20/2012 the case was returned to the California Service Center with a finding that the beneficiary was not issued the requested I-130 visa. ***The Dept of State will notify the beneficiary (applicant) during the visa interview why the visa is not being granted prior to returning the petition to USCIS.*** Once the case is returned to the California Service Center (CSC) by the State Department's National Visa Center for review; it takes approximately 6-8 months after the receipt of the petition in our office (CSC) for processing. When the adjudicative review is completed, a CSC officer will notify the petitioner of his/her findings and what actions are available to the petitioner in response. The petitioner should receive a notice of action on this case by/before 8/20/2013.

Sincerely,
