Loan to pay off studies in the US

Hi, I wanted to study a short training program in the US and I know you have to prove to them that you have sufficient funds to pay that education. My parents are not rich, so they wanted to ask for a loan, would the immigration officer be okay if I show them I asked for a loan to pay for my program? or would I get rejected because of this?

I'm not living in the US. My parents and I are living together in Panama. I want to apply for a international student visa. I have right now an " R " type visa B1/B2 class that hasn't expired yet.

Showing that you have asked for a loan is insufficient. For the I20 to be granted you must already have the funds.

Sorry, but you must have the money to pay before you are grated the I20 needed to apply for the visa. If not, what would prevent you from backing away from the loan? Or what if you are rejected and cannot pay?

if it's a local loan, gotten in Panama, then you'll be using it to show as 'proof of funds for education' during the visa interview.

However, like you said, you must HAVE the funds. You need way more than showing proof you've simply ASKED for the funds

To get a student visa, you must first be accepted to a qualified US school. Once the school accepts you, the school will issue an I-20 which is required to apply for the student visa. The school issues the I-20 when you meet the admission requirements and prove that you have sufficient funds for your course of study. You can use the loan to prove you have sufficient funds.

If you cannot prove that you have sufficient funds, the school will not accept you which means no I-20 which means no student visa.
