Please guide me thorugh the problem

Hello everyone

I submitted all required docs to nvc and My case got completed 2 months ago. Now my question is:

Will nvc need other documents? When will ask me if they need? I think they tell me on I/L, is it true?

Actually, i'm worried about some documents like my wife's bank statement and our original marriage certificate which is in my wife's hand in US. I know they surely want atleast these two docs. But if i have to bring them to the interview these should be sent by my wife to my country which is a little hard to post the documents. I want to make sure if nvc wont ask my wife to send my marriage certificate to them i tell my friends who is comming to my country from US soon to bring my marriage certificate.

if your nvc case was complete,then the next step is you need to call nvc for your new case number,after your case is complete your file is sent to the consulate to be interviewed,when you go to the interview you may be ask for the original marriage crttificate,dont worry about the original bank statements those can be copies,she may be approved, since the nvc has all the documents all ready.if they ask for it then send it to her.fedex over nite

But two more questions:

1) what is a new case number? My case is completed, when should i get the new case number and what should i do with that?

2) you mean if they need my original mariage certificate, they inform me on interview letter? And they never ask me to send that to nvc?

1. There is no 'new case'. You wont get another number.

2. Call NVC to see if anything is outstanding just in case the sent you and RFE and you did not get it. If all is well then the interview letter should state what you need for the interview. Get them ready now since you know that you did not send them in yet.

i already called NVC, and they replied me every thing is ok and your case is completed just wait for interview letter. so in this case they won't ask me my original marriage certificate unless at interview, will they?

we have same priority date 28 april 2011 and my case completed withaout pay stub and emp letter i filled form i864ez they advice me in this forum to bring them to interview i think that u must bring marriage certificate to interview .

because nvc has already put your case on hold waiting your pd to be current they will not open case completed to add marriage certificate.

did u send original marriage certificate with translation to nvc ? if no did nvc complete your case withaout mar certificate?

no i didn't send the original marriage certificate in my own mother tongue to nvc, i just sent a certified copy of it in english. and yes they completed my case

ok,original marriage certificate consedered like original,to be on safe keep original and bring it to interview.
