Hello all, I am an early October filer 10/05 AOS packet signed for at MSC. I just got approval for the EAD and AP, and my interview was scheduled for Jan 9th 2013. It all sounds great, but my husband nd I were planning on moving to California from Texas the first week of Jan. Our interview was scheduled in the Houston office. My predicament is whether I should change the location, or just stick around in Houston one more week. If I stick around, I will only have 1-2 days to get settled before my school and his job begins.if we change address and location of interview, will it affect the processing times/ date of interview etc etc? Has anyone gone through this before?? How soon should I change the address to avoid delays. We will out of our current place on Jan 1st.

Thank you!!

Welcome to the forum.

Do you have your appointment letter yet? Remember that both of you must attend the interview.

Be advised that if you now change the address information you submitted with your initial AOS packet it will very likely affect the processing/scheduling of your AOS application/interview. However, It is impossible to predict with any certainty the effects of that change. Current AOS interview dates are all over the board, some early, some late, that may change. Some folks are not required to have an interview. Here is a news article, that may also have some bearing on your situation:

Consider checking with the USCIS National Customer Center Hotline to see about your options.

Good luck on your move. Happy holidays!!!

Happy trails on your immigration journey.

I know, don't want to mess up the momentum. We will stay in Houston an extra week and be on the road after the interview. We will change the address that day as well.

Yes I received the appt letter yesterday.
