Others have said they got an RFE on Bank Statements that only showed the front page. They want to see complete joint bank account statements that show transaction history for an active joint bank account. I'm sending pretty much full bank statements of every other month for the last 2 years.

I sent front pages of bank statements as well as tax transcripts with no RFE.

My bank provides thumbnails of checks written in the statement. We write very few checks but I made a point of having my husband write some of them knowing it would be good when ROC came along. I included a few random months of those showing we both use the account and both pay the same people. Those pages weren't part of an entire bank statement, but rather a selection of about 4 different months that looked the best. They were separate from the front pages that were chosen for a spread of dates.

Thank you, Nick-Nick! I'll just send the front page of the statement, if I get RFE then I'll send the rest of the statements.

I was approved without RFE or interview and I only sent the front pages. the OP has so much good evidence the front pages are hardly going to be an issue. Plus my front page lists:

- Balance beginning of statement

- Deposits/Additions

- Withdrawals/Subtractions

- Balance end of statement

that shows activity in the account.

The front page does show activity, Vanessa, but it doesn't necessarily show where exactly your money goes to. Does it go towards paying specific bills, groceries, rent/mortgage?I think that's what USCIS is more interested in looking at.

I think they just want to know you have co-mingled your money by having a joint account that has some activity. I agree with Vanessa that the first page shows enough for them to get the idea it's not a fake account that sits at $200 for two years. I don't think they are bothered by how many times you went to Walmart. And I think every single month's full bank statement is excessive. Each person will have to weigh up what feels right to them.

You can't always judge by "somebody got an RFE" because we often only hear part of the story. I remember a person given a terrible grilling at the visa interview which he said was for lack of relationship evidence. I commented that was highly unusual in London. Then I got a PM that he had overstayed VWP SEVEN years, then re-entered on VWP for THREE more years, yet failed to mention that in any of his paperwork, plus lied on the VWP form for his second overstay entry. I don't think the hostility was for lack of relationship evidence, but it panicked a lot of people going to interviews.

So we take the replies and weigh them with our own logic and decide what to do. It's good to have so many opinions to help us decide.

Nobody says here that the OP needs to send statements for every single month. In my opinion, 1 statement for each quarter would be enough. However, as previously noted, we don't know what kind and how much other evidence someone is going to submit. Therefore, it makes sense to me to not encourage someone to send only the front page of their bank statements.

The evidence seems good.

I sent complete statements for some months (pretty much every quarter), but personally I could only access statements from May 2011 till today, so that's what I sent (e-statements screw you in the end, apparently, since they only go back 18 months, and my bank is being ridiculous about trying to get previous statements).

As long as what you send shows that the account isn't dormant, it should be good.

It's all in the totality of the evidence. In my mind USCIS wants to see that you have shared financial life/responsibility with your spouse and that's about it. Again, I might be wrong.

Слава Україні!

Post #3 did. That's where I got it.

Not encouraging. Just stating my experience of no RFE. Vanessa only stated her same experience. The OP gets to read all the opinions and decide. I actually never read of anybody doing just first page when I did it a couple of years ago. It just seemed logical in my mind that page 1 gave them enough info. Same with tax transcripts. The point is is not proving income like an affidavit of support, so page 1 tells them I filed married jointly with my husband and thus another way we co-mingle our finances. Just my logic and opinion and not intended to strong-arm the OP in any manner.
