I got this message 1 week ago and today I got my NOA2!!!!

But I've been waiting for 6.5 months.....

I'm a january filer too and i got the same message last january 18 about change of A#. but i think csc now is too slow..

Does anyone have any idea what is going on? Has anyone on this thread actually received their NOA2? Seems waaaaaay too awesome for that to come true.

Hello!

As the thread has revealed...it means nothing...a few have got their Noa2...but not related to the message....most have not...this does not mean you are getting a speeded up approval sad to say....

Well, for those of us who got the "early" A number message, it means nothing. Seems to be since December. For people who filed before that and never got that message, who suddenly get it, it tends to mean your package is now being adjudicated so approval is imminent. Seems there was a change of standard procedure. The old way was to not assign an alien number until adjudication. The new way seems to be, assign alien number immediatly, then put in the pile. So those like AP+JP who have been waiting 6 months and see it, you have reason to get excited. For new people, sorry... we're all here waiting with you.

Thanks for the info! Really needed it. I wish this was a quick and easy process. I got so excited lol Roughly how long have people been waiting? I've heard so many different things from five months to seven but there is a BIG difference between five months and seven months. (or at least I think so).

Unfortunaly there is no way of knowing. Some people r getting approved in a few months, most after 5 or 6 months, some unlucky ones after 7 8 or 9 months. But with the new extra backlog going on recently especially at CSC, its looking like 7 months is gonna be the new 5 months. But who know

Well that's disappointing. You would think that each passing year it would get better and go faster but I guess we will all learn the greatest amount of patience during this process. I understand that my next question really doesn't have anything to do with this thread but I'm new to the site so please bear with me but once you get your NOA2 usually how long (ballpark figure) does it take to get your interview? I know it depends on the embassy and country but again, ballpark. I just haven't found a pretty clear answer anywhere. Thanks again all!

And u should go to the portals at the top and go to Spain and ask there

It takes a few weeks at nvc after noa2 then it takes a few weeks to be sent to your Spain's consulate. The it's all about them.. It really is so different for countries and also it's different depending on how many interviews and such they have going on..you must wait Spain to mail or email the packet 3 info. And if they mail it can take a long time. Like turkey emails it to us so it doesn't take long. Then you have to gather everything o. The packet 3 list, then send it to them....then wait for them to tell u when they want the interview to be. Can be a few weeks later, a month later, or a few months later. Sme people r getting everything done after noa2 in a few months and getting their visa. But others take a bit more time..so u should ask ppl who r in ur region

Ya its different for the people who petitioned and didnt get notice right away
