In the January filers thread, it seems that everyone now gets the "Alien Registration Number changed" notice shortly after NOA1. I got mine a week or so after NOA1. Never got an email about it, it just says it when I check the status on the site.

Dude uscis is driving me crazy, this is the fourth time I've talked to someone about this alien registration number ..and it was for another problem..and this is just ...ugh haha. First they told me, it looks fine, 2 other times they told me they know for sure it's a glitch, then today while talking to a guy about the other problem ..he said he SEES my fiances alien registration number now...they drive me crazy ccrazy crazy. But still it doesn't mean I'll get approved now...just have a number..I give up anyways I just learned to wait and not care about that update

It means exactly that, unless it doesn't mean that at all

Too many people got this notice for us to all be getting fast approvals, yet some people have always received fast approvals. I think while hoping for something great to happen is fine, don't twist in a knot worrying about it. I'm more comfortable pretending it means nothing. Well... I'd have been checking my status daily anyway haha

i got it to!!! praying that its a fast approval!! iv read stories of people getting this and as little as a week getting aprroved or 2 days after reciving this message there is nothing wrong with a little hope and faith

No I dnt take it as a fast approval, be ause it is true that too many people have been getting this to get approved so fast. It ,iChat just even be that a person checked my case and all seems good, but now they r gonna let it sit there for a while, or maybe it looks good enough to assign an alien number but it still has to be checked by someone else and I'll need to wait or just uscis has been doing weird things...whooooo knows. People getting this might still not even have a number. It still may be a case. I saw everyoneeee, call in and get to a real immigration officer at tier 2 , and ask them if they can actually see the number or no..this guy said " I went further so I can actually SEE the number"...dnt let the whole "we'll doesnt look like u have a number..its too soon"end ur conversation..haha like I did the first 3 times..but still, I dnt think a fast approval is coming but I'd love one ))

I dont think its an error, cuz i DO have an alien registration number, as I said before like there was a guy at uscis who said he SAW it. Just because I got a number doesnt mean I will get a fast approval. I think we need to stop thinking that that update means we will get an approval soon. It no longer means that Possibly! haha way to change things up on us huh :) Its been more then a month since I got the number and its been 2 or 3 months for other people But no harm in trying of course and no harm in praying!!

I talked to an officer dude at uscis today he said everything looks fine and about the A# change; he said she does have one and it's for her future here.. He told me to call back every 30-45 days for updates

all of these posts got my hopes up! i got my NOA1 on Jan 22 and the Alien Number changed text on the 25th. Here's to hoping it's speedy and glad to be part of VJ.

i saw same message when i checked my case status, we got our NOA1 on Januray 18, then on January 25th the alien registration number changed.

Hope it will go fast now, im away from my fiance for two years, of course he visited me but its not the same.
