Dear Vj's,

I have recently received my K1 Issued some days before. Now I want my parents to be present at my wedding ceremony out there in United States.

So would all of you please help me up that how shall I apply for them ? I mean what visa type I shall apply for them and what would be the things needed to file a case for their visit visa ?

And one last thing would they be sponsored by somebody from United States or would they have show their own assets out here in Pakistan.

It is my request to all of you to help me up in this regard. I shall be very thankful to you !

Regards,

Adjustment of Status from K1 Visa.

First things first. You need to come here and get married. All you have now is a visa to enter the US. There is nothing you can do for your parents. Secondly, even after marriage there is nothing you can do for your parents. They need to apply for a tourist visa on their own. For this type of visa they need to show that they will be returning back to their home country. That means having assets, a job, a home, other children to care for and so forth.

You don't apply for your parents B1/B2 visitor visa, they must do it themselves at the US consulate in Pakistan.

I think their chances of receiving the visa are slim to none, but it will mostly depend on their ties to Pakistan, including their assets there.

Moved from IR-1/CR-1 Process & Procedures to Tourist Visas forum.

OP, as already stated by Tygrys, your parents would need to apply for a tourist visa on their own and they would have to be granted one on their own merits. There is nothing you can do to facilitate them obtaining a visa.

Agree with previous posters. Although it seems arcane, the law presumes that all visitors intend to immigrate. The sticky "Tourist Visa Guide" at the top of this forum page describes the situation very well.

Good luck on your immigration journey.

The previous posters are correct they must apply for a visitor visa on their own and show proof and very very strong ties they will return to their own country. that is why we chose to go ahead and get married in Pakistan rather than do a k1 because we wanted them at our wedding and we didnt want them stuck in AP waiting or missing anything.

There have been other visitor visas that ended up in a very lengthy AP before the visa was finally issued and then again some that breezed right thru... it's very hard to tell what's going to happen until it does.

I would suggest to go ahead and get married and let them apply and when they come then do some more festivities

Wish u much luck...

There is nothing you can do, they have to apply on their own. The chances of getting a visitor visa from Pakistan are slim unless they have very very very string ties to their country. Come here, get married and after you have your green card go back to Pakistan to celebrate. It;s really your only option.
