The first thing you're going to do when you get in the States

I was wondering, what are your plans for your first day in the States?

As soon as I'll land in Atlanta and finally see my husband again we'll have a 2 hours drive to get home, say hi to out personal zoo and then we'll go to pick up food at Buffalo Wild Wings. We'll recreate our first dinner together, we'll get the same exact menu we got 1 year ago (I still have the bill), we'll move the couch out of the way to sit exactly in the same spot we were sitting months ago. I remember going into the apartment and it was empty since my husband moved in there 10 days before my arrival. We didn't even had pots and pans or any kind of food, we barely had forks and knives. I have great memories of that night, it was the first time meeting again after 4 years.

I can't wait to get approved and start planning my return back home.

How about you? What are you gonna do the first day/night in the States?

Since my husband and I are visiting the states next week, I'll say the first thing we'll be doing is stopping for gas (I always get gas right after crossing) LOL okay but seriously.

I'm just missing chipotle and panera. Depending on when we get there will depend on what we get.

Oh and there's this new meatheads place with DELICIOUS burgers that my husband hasn't tried yet. Maybe those instead.

Obviously not a first day after POE, but still applies :P

We should all have a huge dinner together! I don't miss Panera that much because my family in Italy owns a bakery but I sure miss the cookies and the brownies and all the good American treats!

MMMMMMMMMMMM a bakery.

You know, last week, I went to every bakery in this town and couldn't find an uncut sourdough loaf?

I ended up finding it at WALMART. #######?

You should totally try to make it at home. You can either try to make it with natural yeast (but it takes some practice and a lot of patience) or use normal yeast and just let it rise for about 9-12 hours.

I do that all the time for me and my husband and most of the time we don't need to prepare dinner anymore because that becomes our dinner

Awww that is sweet! We recently recreated our first "in person" meeting, minus the me having a terrible stomach flu.

CHIPOTLE.....mmmmm.....yeah.

Well, I am the USC, but the first place we'll be going (if we don't POE in the Virgin Islands) will be to a real burger place and order up some medium-rare dripping with blood, thick and juicy burgers. Oh, and we'll eat them with our hands. Danish burgers by law have to well done and there seems to be some cultural norm about them also being inedible and eaten with a knife and fork.

Then we'll go and pick up my truck and he'll get to drive it up to our house. He doesn't know it, but I am seriously considering giving him the truck, because well....just look....

That's funny. My husband has a Jeep and every time I have to get in the car I need to jump! I am probably as tall as you and I am used to go Kart sized cars in Italy. He always makes fun of me and how short I am but he's not that taller!
