I-130 Questions

Hi, I'm not sure if this goes here but I live overseas and I'm hoping to file a DCF. My main question is about the I-130. Do I need to include the affidavit of support or any other financial information in I-130 or do I do that later after approval?

I am currently living overseas in Phnom Penh. I know they will only process DFC under special circumstances so I am trying to convince the embassy here to process a DCF because my wife (beneficiary)and I (petitioner) have a 2 month old daughter who has US citizenship (foreign born birth certificate and passport). Hopefully we get someone who will take sympathy on us.

I live here for work but I haven't been reporting my income so I will need some time to sort out my financial information and wait to file taxes and possibly pay back taxes so that I will meet the income requirements for the affidavit of support (My salary here will be short but I have enough assets here and in the US to make up 5x the difference). Obviously I would like to file the petition as soon as possible so I'm hoping I can file it without providing my financial details.

Cambodia doesn't have a local USCIS office, so you won;t be allowed to file directly with the embassy; many couples have kids and it is not a reason to get an expedite/ DCF. However, if you file via the Chicago lockbox you should be auto-expedited due to living abroad. The I-864 will be filed at NVC stage.

Those filing from abroad appear to no longer be auto-expedited http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/357465-usc-petitioner-living-abroad/page__st__315.

They seem to be getting approved around the same time as everyone else through NBC.

It's not universal anymore, true, but some still get done quicker. The NBC puts everything up in the air. In any case, DCF is not an option, unless you are military possibly.

That seems to be the same story I'm getting from the embassy here. Chicago lockbox it is then. Thanks
