I finally got the package together and sent in my application for my husband on Monday. I tracked the parcel and it was delivered on Tuesday @1030am signed for by DN. I requested to have the email/ text notification but as of now I have heard nothing. I am a bit worried because of that. It seem most ppl got a text notification within 3 days of receipt of their application. I sent the application with three money orders $420-I130, $985- I485 and $85 for biometrics. I'm not sure if the holdup is bcos I broke up the payment for the I-485. I'm so anxious about it all.

It can take up to 30 days to hear anything from USCIS after you have filed with them.

Yay!!! I just got the notification via email. But the receipt number started with MSC....says its been sent to the national benefits center for processing. From what I've read on vj that's the ones (receipt#) that's not trackable online :(. I guess the journey has officially began for us.

You'll be able to track it online eventually. They are just slow to update. Mine is also MSC.

My receipt numbers all began with MSC and I was able to access them and follow the updates online without any issues at all. I would create yourself an account on the USCIS website and add the receipt numbers to your portfolio so you get updates when changes are made.

11/29/12 - AOS Interview in Atlanta - 10 minutes long and approved on the spot.

I was also MSC and I also had no problem with registering an account online at uscis website and then track it. I got the text notifications and emails as well. Maybe they have to many applicants stuff loaded up on the website. I went to the website right now and it even says if you click 'check case' that the server is down. They might be updating it and removing all the peeps who have already granted their residence to make room for the newbies. So I would say for now just wait a bit longer and try to register at USCIS sometimes when the server is not down. Good luck, good luck!
