So I didnt even think about this matter because long time ago i know my fiance only smoke but not in my mind would i think he ever try marajuana ever , he is about to go for his medical soon. I know lying is not good but can we say no to doing drug? He said to me he don't remenber how many times he did it but should not be more than 10 times and again this is 10 months ago after that he is clean now im sure. Please what should he say when they as him about his drug use. I want advice on this i just read a thread earlier about someone similar saying yes and they are making problem. If he is clean for a long time now do you recommend us to say no. Thank you all

As with the earlier post about this, all encouraged the OP that it is best to tell the truth as lying could cause more problems.

but look what happen to him when he told the truth? If we just say no than everything would be fine, i cant believe this is happening right now...

Nothing has happened to them as of yet. Now what if he says no and tests positive? Can you guarantee that it won't be? 10 months ago and he is not sure exactly how many times? You don't want to take a chance for a possible lifetime ban for misrepresentation over a 1 year ban for drug use. I am sorry this is happening to you, but it may not end up as bad as it seems. Just tell the truth and go from there. Best of luck to you!

but could there be possibilty that they wont do a drug test at all if he said no...and even if they do a drug test he would be clean already.. im also not ready to tell him to say yes to them too because we need to know every possible way first before deciding.. This just ruined my plans as of right now, we were ready for everything until i just decided to ask him out of no where tonight about this matter..... ..what the hell

Never lie...yes it may be easier and you may not have any problem with it at first...but lies can catch up with you during later stages of the process which could hurt you even more. Best advice to give you: just be honest about everything.

I did not read the thread you're talking about so I don't know what was said.

First rule in immigration. Never Lie. That could be a lifetime ban.

Don't know where your fiance is from but when he does the medical they will draw blood and when they test his sample and they find something they were told wouldn't be in your fiance's system then your fiance is in trouble.

If he admits to using weed more than a year ago then he should be good. If it was less then that could delay your reunification by about a year so that he can he rehabilitated.

I have read a lot on google on this and from what i have heard from everyone, does it also depends on the the embassy too?? From one of our friend here on vj they told us that some embassy take it easy and some dont. But it seems like ours is straight forward and if they ask you and you said no than they just go on their way with checking other things and thats it.
