Hi VJ members,

I'm a conditional resident my gc expires march 3/2013 - I just applied to remove my conditions and I got a letter saying that my temporary residency has been extended for one more year. My wife and I are going to Mexico to visit my family. Question: As a GC holder all what I need to travel is my valid passport and my GC right? or Do I need any special permit to travel abroad?

One more question.....

When I get into Mexico's Airport there are usually 2 different lines to go through customs... One for Mexican citizens and one for foreigners....

Which one should I go to?

Thanks!

-Alan

if you go to mexico before your green card expires your ok if your staying after marc 2013 be sure to bring along the extension letter for one year, since you have maxican passport you go to mexicans citizen line, one more thing i hope you purchested the airline tickets in the same name thats on the passport it must match, coming back home to the united states you can go on the united states citizen line at the poe with your green card, or extension letter. bring along your marriage certificate just in case it's asked for name change. have a nice trip,
