Thought I might make a thread for those who still have no word. I know some people here have gone months recieving nothing and despite being happy for those recieving approval the wait is always hard. I'd like to give those waiting a little boost. VJ isn't always about approvals and touches, its also about the emotional struggle and the day after day without a partner. To all those still waiting remember one thing everyday you wait is a day gone and you'll never have to wait through again, everyday is a day closer to the goal whether it be NOA1, NOA2, the medical or interview you're a day further ahead than yesterday and lots of days/weeks/months ahead than when you first started. Keep your chins up. Everyday brings the mailman, perhaps tomorrow will be your day. Perhaps tomorrow you'll hear about the process. Never give up hope, for without it.. it'll be so much harder. Think of your future, think of your partner, remember its alright to cry by god you have a right to. And remember everybody at VJ is going through the same thing, if you're having one of those days......VJ members are here for ya.

Our best wishes,

Fiona & Andrew (waiting.....)

Love hurts

When you live an ocean away

When you change your sleep schedule to catch a few more moments

When you really need to be held and you have to imagine whilst your partner describes it

When you constantly refresh the USCIS website to see if you're getting any closer

Love Loves

When it repays you with the love of your life

When God finally answered your biggest prayer

When you can live life again in the real world but still have that eternal connection

When you wake up for to the beginning of the rest of your life with the person you fought so hard for

When you love somebody that much

You'll do anything

I do know that feeling...even though there were some days when we wondered if we'd ever hear anything, we both knew we were just one more day closer to being together. VJ has been here for us, and so many others as well. There IS an end to this....we're not completely through yet, but it's closer than ever before. :luv:

Thank you for your kind words. I am one of the ones waiting for an NOA2. And trying to keep up with the approvals coming through California... and now the upsetting news of how Casablanca are not handing out approvals... but only 221g's... well, let's just say I am totally stressing out beyond the normal! I am realllllllllly scared now... and still anxiously awaiting the NOA2. It's like I can't find any peace for waiting the axe to fall for either one of these. *sigh*

It is always nice to know that there is support here on VJ... not only from the friends within our own forum, but all over VJ. *hugs*

Here's hoping that you guys get good news soon too!

Blessings,

Lynne

I'm feeling the pressure. I truly wanted a July 8th wedding. I wanted to get married and spend time with Patrick before school starts again in the *fall* if you can call it that. But, it appears we will need to wait much longer. I'm going to teach summer school just to keep busy this summer (the extra money will help too). I mark every day off of my calender :). My sister says I'm going to drive myself crazy being on this website, checking my email, and my case status constantly. But you guys understand and it helps so much to talk with people who feel EXACTLY what you're feeling, or have felt it recently. We'll all get there though.

Your words are what comes from the heart. We have good days and some not so good days. I for one appreciate the understanding that we give to each other. No one should have to go through this crazy process. Yet we endure because of the love that is in our hearts. Thanks very much

AFQuaid, I got all goosebumpy reading your post :)

thank you for those words. I think we all know this, but it is good to have a friend remind you of it now and again.

We are still waiting for the check to be cashed in and our NOA 1.

But, every day IS a day closer - a day less than yesterday. I keep my sanity reminding myself, that -no matter how long it seems now- pretty soon all this will be over, and the second I find myself in his arms at the airport it will start to fade away into a dream. And not even neccesarilly a bad dream, but one which taught us much about ourselves and each other - and, more importantly, which showed us just how much we are willing to endure to be together. What doesn`t break you, makes you stronger. :D

Hang in there guys, we CAN do this!

Naturalized! Yeah!

Fiona I think you are very mature like Rebeccajo said. You posted with your heart and it touched so many here on this site including me. One day at a time and one day closer and thanks for the lovely post. Good luck.

lol aww ty guys. Glad to see so many responces and support....Lovely

Lets share some ways of getting through ....

Andrew & I use webcams 24/7, microphones 24/7 and I mean all day and night we fall asleep with them on, get tangled in the wires. We communicate souly through yahoo messenger. We try to pass the time with updating out website www.sertichfamily.com, playing second life www.secondlife.com which is an online world where you can physically be together but as your own creation just makes ya feel that bit more closer, play online chess and pool, we watch movies via webcam not the clearest but still enjoyable....we watch american idol etc....we play flight simulator together in which we both fly planes across the world in real time and weather (i crash it 99.9% of the time). Despite the constant communication we do have our days too where the computer becomes this horrible thing thats seperating us....we've both come close to breaking the computers out of upset and frustration. Especially when you have those emotional talks and you can't reach out and hold one and other. We use the phone occasionally too which is nice every once in a while, he sounds so real .... so close.....yet still so damn far away...

It will end one day, andy and I have sworn we'd wait forever ....if thats what it takes. I remember way back 6 years ago he told me we'd meet again in the stars if anything ever went wrong....

One of the hardest times is drawing near for us right now. Andy goes for major surgery next week....and I can't be with him ..... going into hospital as we both do its very hard to be thrown from 24/7 internet to NOTHING, in the hospital they took my phone off me last time :( was awful. Andy had to contact my parents to find out what was happening....

anyway, every couple has there own way of coping under seperation. Whats yours?

Fiona... I will be praying for Andy and the surgery... and for you!

You are right... it is so nice to have the internet contact... messenger, voice, webcam... but it doesn't replace the actual touching and having them physically there beside you.

Jamal and I also use webcam, voice, phone, & messenger to stay in touch with each other.... makes the days so long without it if we don't.

You guys are an inspiration... God bless you both!

*hugs*

It is amazing what people do, what we do, go through all of that.

But in future we will always know what we've gone through and appreciate new life even more.

And for sure we will miss web cams, telephone talks and mailing.

My baby told me that when we will be together again, she wants me to send her e-mails because she will miss it. I can't wait to be with my milaia again and forever

we are all of the same kind
