This is what I have:

On August 22, 2012, the post office returned your document I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN as undeliverable. If you do not contact us at 1-800-375-5283 within 180 days from August 22, 2012, this document will be destroyed and you will need to file a new application with fee.

I called that same day (8/22) and filed a change of address. On 8/24 I received a copy of the NOA1 and then the re-mailed version (the original)to my updated address. I did not do the AR-11 as I am a U.S. Citizen. However, my case status has not been updated and it still says the same thing, which is worrisome. Does this mean my application is not being processed?

Hi there,

I have a question and unfortunately not an answer to your :(

I received the NOA1 number on my email two days after the petition was delivered and I'm quite sure that the hard copy will never be delivered as I did not provide a proper correspondence address. So I'm guessing that i will need to updated my address. I did try though but I did not know how. May I ask what did you say when you called the service center? Did you Speak to a tire2 human?? Or did they just allow you to change your address on the phone.

* The love story *

2008 -We met online

07/03/12. -civil marriage.

21/08/12. -wedding party

* Filing the I-130 *

15/11/12. - sent the I-130 via DHL

21/11/12. - NOA1 (by email)

* The struggle with address change *

01/09/2013 - I -797 was returned back as it was undeliverable.

01/14/2013 - changed my address to a Saudi P.O. Box by filling an AR-11 form ( I was instructed to fill out this form ).

I waited two week for my address to be updated but nothing happened :(

01/30/2013 - I called to updated my address for the second time. This time I gave them a US P.O. Box address that I set

up with ARAMEX. I should receive the I -797 form in the mail within two weeks.(I hope!)

01/04/2013 - The new US address was accepted. hooray!

Our petition is on a Review of Evidence and should be getting an approval any time, yet we got a notice saying the I-130 was transferred to a local office on December 6th. Two minutes later the date changed to December 7th. Then it also put this same message on a closed petition. There were some issues with the website a week before so I thought maybe they were having issues again. When I called the automated phone service said the petition had been transferred to the California office with the address of the same place the petition has been since September 2012. Crazy

NOA 1 November 15, 2010

NOA 2 August 25, 2011

Closed NVC Ocotber 11, 2011

Interview Date: January 12,2012

Thank you my wonderful God in Heaven.

I did speak to a human (although I don't know if it was a Tier 2), and she gathered my information and told me to do the change of address online, which I did. Shortly after that I received my NOA1 in the mail to my new address and a AR-11 which I did not do because I am a US Citizen in the US.
