I'm going on K1 visa process, and have this question :

what is the validity of the documents in k1 visa ?

i.e the police report and birth certificate ?

and the validity is it up to the date of filing the petition or up to the time of the interview ?

the same question for the passport must be valid for 6 Months, is it up to the date of the filing the petition or up to the interview appointment ?

thanks in advance

Welcome to the forum.

Sorry, I am a bit confused… Are you referring to the valid dates of the documents required for the visa? Police reports usually have validity dates, typically one year, check your interviewing embassy/consulate info for details. I haven't heard of an expiration date on a birth certificate. There are several documents that are some-what time sensitive, i.e., the supporting financial documents needed for the interview associated with the I-134.

You ask several questions that may be answered by reviewing the DoS Nonimmigrant Visa for a Fiance(e) K-1 FAQs:

Good luck on your visa journey.
