Hi guys, I have to prove my departure from the US. I read that you have to give them proofs of my departure plus a letter of explanation. I think its better if I can consult a lawyer and he can walk me through all of this. Do any of you guys knows lawyers/ law firm that give free legal advice or anything like that? Since I've seen this in Canada, I thought maybe the US have some sort of similar thing. Any information or advice would be very much appreciated.. I'm just 18 and I don't think I can afford a lawyer.

Are we talking about a land crossing into Canada? Didn't you receive a stamp in your passport upon entry into your home country the last time you left the US? If you traveled by air then you have a boarding pass and the airline should have a flight manafest they submit to show you left on the flight. The proof would be the had part. A bit more information would be helpful in giving you a better answer.

Good luck,

Dave

Yes sir, I was smuggled from the US to Canada by land to make a refugee claim , so I really didn't turn in the I-94 form. I'm back in my home country, unfortunately the refugee claim was denied so they sent me back. Wanted to know the negative impact this has on my future student visa application. I really didn't do anything in the US other than pass through it to gain entry into Canada. I left two days after arriving the US, which is way before my US visitor visa expired. I have all documentations of my refugee claim, I even have high school diploma.
