On the ds-230, when it asks if the applicant has visited the US, it asks for the "A" number if known.

Is that the number from the I-94? Also, when it asks what type of visa was used, Can she just put tourist or do they want " b-2" in there too? thanks in advance!

The Alien Registration Number should be in the upper right corner of your NOAs. Mine is in the box where it says "Beneficiary". Also, it will appear on her visa later. It is not the Number from the I94.

Not necessarily. Not all consulates put the A# on the visa.

I did, but the sample doesnt show what I am looking for. I'll simplify the question: Are tourists given alien registration numbers?

Probably not. The alien registration number is a number assigned by the USCIS to track and coordinate petitions and applications submitted to CIS. Tourist visits do not typically involve any applications to USCIS. Although they could - have they in her past?

I don't think you have to enter the A number unless she traveled to the US after her A number was issued by the USCIS.
