Interview on December 10, 2012

Good afternoon to everyone here, fellow VJ members. We received our NOA2 last November 4 and the MNL case number after a few days and NVC told us they forwarded our case to USEM November 11. I scheduled my medical and passed it and scheduled my interview December 10. Now I realized and asked myself, Is our case with the USE? I never got the chance to call the USEM. I am all ready with the interview together with my daughter in Monday. Have everything ready except that I forgot to call the USEM to check of our case. I tried to call the office after 4:30 and its already closed. Now i am worried.

I think you don't need to worry about your documents that the NVC have forwarded to the USEM,it's almost a month since they forwarded and i did the same thing, i alloted 2 weeks for my case to be at the USEM so far everything went great.Just got my visa today..GOODLUCK and GodBless you..

If you are able to schedule an interview, then that means they already have the file...

This is incorrect.

NVC will have to process from USCIS, it took them 3 weeks before they've forwarded our case to USEM. Some just takes a couple of days but it could take up to 6 weeks. After they've processed it, the petitioner will receive a letter stating they've completed your case. It will take another week from NVC to USEM.

Don't worry about. We never called to check. The petition packet is sent electronically plus the physical file is sent so don't worry USEM will be ready.

You should be fine, We were approved by USCIS on the 9th, and the 20th by The Visa Center. I called a week ago in a panic, they had got the file on the 28th.

If NVC said they forwarded your case Nov. 11, it should definitely be at the embassy by Dec. 10. If the petitioner has received the NVC letter, this is added confirmation that your case was forwarded. In any case, a month's time from the date the petition was forwarded is enough time.
