Yikes! My British passport application asked for something similar. I had to mail the thing to a British family friend, who is a doctor, have her sign it and list her qualifications and endorse my photos.

Oddly, my British consular birth registration and my father's required no ID or reason and only a name and approximate place and date of birth. I haven't even spoken to my biological father in years and they just gave it to me (they didn't ask if I had his permission before anyone goes thinking I did something wrong).

What a pain to just get a birth certificate though. It was so easy in DK, you just order it online and it comes from the local Church (who records all births regardless of denomination) in a day.

Seriously it infuriates me to think about the probability of me getting an RFE for his BC when I don't have the money right now then on top of that an interview for the I-130 and having to drive back to the states just to do so so I'm going to get off the computer.

Time to do some grocery shopping and laundry. :angry:

KDH you're sweating something that hasn't even happened yet! Wait until you have a reason to be infuriated, then blow your top. Otherwise you're going to end up with some real high blood pressure by the time this process is over! :rofl:

I dream of high blood pressure so I welcome it.

I have low blood pressure and have to eat salt on everything to prevent myself from passing out every time I stand up.

I think we are actually getting processed at NBC and they don't seem to be doing all think hinky stuff, but they also don't seem to be expediting petitioner's who live abroad in non-DCF countries either.

USCIS is pretty inconsistent. :bonk:

3/2/18  E-filed N-400 under 5 year rule

3/26/18 Biometrics

7/2019-12/2019 (Yes, 16- 21 months) Estimated time to interview MSP office.

If I wasn't going to be in Canada, I wouldn't complain.

If I was local, I would be inconvenienced, obviously, and have to take a day off work, but I just do NOT have 250 bucks to take an unexpected trip to the US just to look at them and say 'okay what do you want from me?'
