My fiancee applied for her social security number 3 weeks ago and it hasn't arrived as yet. Should we apply for the AOS without waiting for the SSN? There is a space on the G-325 for a SSN.

SSN is not required for AOS. The card may take a while. We went to the SS office and asked for and recieved an "unofficial" printout with the SSN number on it.

At our AOS interview we gave the numbers to the officer. Still waiting on daughters card for 10 months now but at least we have the number for

Taxes and other purposes. I wrote NONE on the G-325.

If you are married, I would suggest that you sent in your AOS packet for processing. There isn't a definite need for the SSN on the G-325A, that information can be brought later on to the interview.

Submit your AOS, no need to wait on SSN.

I will do that.
