I would pick a couple per month to show that you guys talk regularly and print them. I'm not sure they would do anything with items on a CD or DVD.

Question...while I'm getting my packet together here.

I have over 1000 pages of Facebook chats that her and I have exchanged over the past 6 months. How do I give that to them? Do I print them all out? Do I put it on a CD?

That is way too much - just pick a couple that span some time. We didn't include any chats either time. So far no problem. I think if you have lots of other evidence of a bonafide marriage you can maybe just include a page or two of chats.

Besides my boarding pass and receipts from Turkey. My lawyer had me send 25 pages of our chats, A copy of every page of my passport. A copy of MY Birth Cert both long and short form, 8 Affidavits from family and friends saying my marriage is real and explaining how they knew , plus 20 pictures if us together and with his family. I also send 10 pages of facebook chats from me and my son during my trip and talking about the marriage process in Turkey. The only other paper I sent was one from work showing I added my husband to my life and medical insurance.

I don't think our lawyer sent much of evidence either, we did include a photocopy of every page of my passport which had stamps of my visits to the states but no pictures or any other sort of evidence was discloused, on the form we did say that we lived together for a few months though, does this mean we're going to get denied as well?? oh God I'm sick to my stomach now :(

Don't get upset. Now that you know what is required, you should work on getting this stuff ready just in case you get a RFE or worse. You only get a short amount of time to answer some of these responses, so make sure you get this evidence together ASAP and send it right away as soon as you get the notice. It should only take a few days max to get the evidence you need if you rush everything.

My husband isn't even sure where to get his birth cert. So if I get a request for this I'm screwed because it will take weeks from me to get this. I have been telling him to go and get it but he can't seem to get time off from work and tells me we still have 3 months before its needed!!! I tried to explain we might need it sooner but he thinks I'm just worrying. Says just because other people need it doesn't mean we will :( I pray he's right.. I think he's convinced himself its going to take 12 mo so he is not in a rush to do it

my hubby is the same, he says the lawyer knows what he's doing that's why we hired a lawyer etc.., but I can't stop stressing...I'm on this forum 24/7, talk to your husband again and explain that even if you don't get an RFE for the USCIS stage you will need the BC for the NVC stage regardless so it's better to be on top of your game.

Yeah I have told him that. But our lawyer sent us an email telling us that he will tell us when to get the next set of papers. I know he is waiting for that. UGH! I am here too everyday reading what problems other people have had or what worked for them. I want to be ready for anything. If I could get all his papers together I would (lol)

I don't trust them at all. We hired a lawyer for my daughter's custody case, he charged 7500 and my ex-husband didn't even show and the lawyer managed to mess up the paperwork. He was actually voted one of the best lawyers in our state.

Never again will I use one unless I absolutely must.

The thing about immigration is that you must be on top of it and take it seriously. I'd probably kick my husband's butt if he wasn't being proactive about it! I actually made him order his military records and birth certificate a few weeks ago.

He has the Military record. And he is trying to find where to get the birth cert. I think he just got depressed because he read online that people are waiting more then a year for a visa. I don't think he wants to get his hopes up that is will be less.

I just stress over this way too much and I know it but can't control it, I'm going out of my mind here not knowing where my case is at and on top of it I have to deal with this new case status message that our alien number has been changed otherwise I am on top of it and take it very seriously. We were referred to this lawyer and have heard good things about him, I just hope we hear some good news soon.

I think using a lawyer or not we have to know as much as we can. I talked to 6 lawyers before picking the one I am using. 4 of them just seemed stupid. Didn't even know where Turkey was. My lawyer filed to bring his own wife here. So I know he has some knowledge of the process. But I still want to know as much as I can. So I can be ready for anything.
