ya, 400 usd is way out of line.

Have her hunt down the office in her district.

Basically, she hand carries the chinese version INTO the notarial translation office - the hukuo office usually is not involved with any 'passing' to the next office.

Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Her hukou was in her hometown in Xuyi, Huai'an. She took it to Wuxi for school but she moved back home in July she had left it there and its being sent back to Xuyi by today or tomorrow.

Huai'an is the administrative city, Xuyi is the 'county' .

I dunno, maybe she needs to reach out to 'province' level for the notarial translation?

...Studying more - she can probably get the translation done in the big city of Huai’an City...

Alright I'll let her know. She's only been to the Xuyi offices should she try Huai'an office for hukou too? She said that last time she went without book to xuyi hukou they said even if had it they can't give her certificates. She's going to go and try again anyway Monday with hukou in hand.

hey - if Xuyi office can't do the birth certificate in chinese, then she needs to find out (from them) where it's obtainable.

On her forms asking where she's lived past 10 years does she list school? She never stayed there 6 months exactly but did leave hukou there. My uncle in homeland security told me not to put it on her petition because its more of a secondary address should we keep it the same?
