Under Info. about YOU (that's me-petitioner)...there are 1-14b questions. Then in section C it's "Information about your relative" with 1-16 questions...One would think ALL those questions in 1-16 would pertain to HIM (my foreign spouse), howver, question 15 asks "PRESENT EMPLOYER_____" Now, is that asking for my SPOUSES present employer, or MINE??? Because question 13 asks "Has your relative ever been in the USA?" which is a question to me, yet in HIS section. This is so confusing my head is going to explode. They could've made it a little bit more clear!

Can ANYONE shed some light on this? Employer? Mine or his?

#15 His employment info. if applicable

YOUR ARE THE PETITIONER so the question HAS YOUR RELATIVE EVER BEEN IN THE USA is self explanatory yes/no??? Has your husband ever been to the states?

It's not self-explanatory as it's under HIS section. It should be clearly under my section if the question is directed at me. So, I assumed the question was meant for me...he was never in the USA until Oct. 2012 of this year, so that would be a YES since he's here now...but for employment, it's unclear who the question is directed to since it's under his 1-16 section, and the previous question was directed to ME asking "has your relative ever been to the USA?" It flip flops. It's aggravating. Some might thing it's self-explanatory and put an answer in error, and then boom, your application is prolonged due to dumb errors because of vagueness on the form's question. ugh.

That question is for you. If you notice the questions are numbered... Until question 14 there is a question for EACH side. At question 15, there is only one.... That is for you. They don't care about your spouse's employer at the moment, that comes with the DS-230 and on the G-325A. It is their way of making the form only an 8.5x11 sheet of paper instead of a legal size 8.5x14.

Well F me in the bum.

I answered for my husband.

and I also, apparently didn't fill in the date his employment began.

GREAT. RFE please already?

Edit:

Idk about this, I mean, it's split right down the middle then even question 16 says 'Has your relative ever been under immigration proceedings'

I'm saying this has to be a question for the beneficiary, NOT the petitioner.

Now if I could just get an RFE for the date employment began.

Your F me in the bum made me laugh out loud. I'm still confused as to who this question is referring to. I THOUGHT it was for him, but then heck, it could be for me. I'll take a best of 10 if I get 10 responses saying who it's meant for. I'm probably going to answer it for me as the other questions were to me as well, despite being under the beneficiary section. Um I def understood it as being the beneficiary's employer. The question is on the right side, the side where all the information is about the person who is immigrating. If there's any confusion all employers are also listed on the G-325A form, right? I mean I hope they'll connect the dots...

But I really don't think they mean the petitioner's employment.

Forgot about this!

Now maybe I WONT get an RFE for forgetting to fill in the time since employed.

Okay, its definitely him, but here's the issue you need to remember. ALL questions are directed at you, because you are the one completing the form, but not all the questions are ABOUT you. Make sense?

So it's on "his" side therefore the answer is in relation to him but it's asking you (the person completing the form) whether he has been to the US, and asking YOU about HIS present employer.
