Hello...last night I posted a question and nobody has responded and I'm freaking out because I have no idea what to put. It's confusing. Does my husband put the same thing as I do on the G 325A form in the section that says THIS FORM IS SUBMITTED IN CONNECTION WITH AN APPLICATION FOR:

---naturalization

---Status as permanent resident

---OTHER (Specify)_____

I put X Other-I 130 on MY FORM....DOES HE DO THE SAME THING? He's not filling out the I-130...I am...therefore, does he check the box for "STATUS AS PERMANENT RESIDENT?" or is that for people adjusting status? This is so confusing! Please help me...anyone? I don't want to make a mistake and prolong what's already a months long process for a simple error due to vagueness on a form.

Please?? Anyone?

2012-07-18: I-130 Sent

2012-07-25: USCIS Received

2012-07-26: I-130 NOA1

2012-08-06: I-130 Approved (11 days)

2012-08-23: NVC Received (17 days)

2012-08-25: Return Completed DS-3032

2012-09-04: Received DS-3032 / I-864 Bill

2012-09-04: Pay I-864 Bill

2012-09-06: Receive I-864 Package

2012-09-06: Received IV Bill

2012-09-07: Pay IV Bill

2012-09-12: Return Completed I-864

2012-09-12: IV Packet Sent

2012-09-20: AOS RFE

2012-09-22: AOS RFE Sent (from US - scanned)

2012-09-24: AOS RFE Sent (from BR - originals)

My wife and I checked "Status as Permanent Resident" on both forms. We had any problems.

And you won't but that's only the correct answer when filing an I-485. The OP has the correct answer for an I-130.

Thank you so much. I was unsure if our answers should be the same if he's not the one petioning. Anyways....thanks!

The concept is that both G325a forms are submitted in support of the same I-130 petition. Note that the signature block indicates "signature of applicant" but no actual application is being submitted. No worries.

March 26, 2009: We become a couple!
September 10, 2009: Arrived for first meeting in-person!
June 17, 2010: Arrived for second in-person meeting and start of travel together to other areas of China!
June 21, 2010: Engaged!!!
September 1, 2010: Switched course from K1 to CR-1
December 8, 2010: Wedding date set; it will be on February 18, 2011!
February 9, 2011: Depart for China
February 11, 2011: Registered for marriage in Wuhan, officially married!!!
February 18, 2011: Wedding ceremony in Shiyan!!!
April 22, 2011: Mailed I-130 to Chicago
April 28, 2011: Received NOA1 via text/email, file routed to CSC (priority date April 25th)

September 13, 2011: Paid IV bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 14, 2011)

October 3, 2011: Emailed checklist response (checklist generated due to typo on Form DS-230)

November 10, 2011: Interview - APPROVED!!!

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal
