Anyone here outside the Processing window times from Vermont Service Center, I- 130. My PD Date is May 15, and I used to call USCIS every week for the past 6 weeks and they said they were working on the date up until May14th. All of sudden, they said yesterday that they are up to May 21. So I am outside the processing window. I checked on the USCIS website for the case status, and tons of cases after mine and before mine still says initial review. Should I be worried? Igor's list state that they are up to May 19th. Anyone here on the same boat as i am?

supposedly, an ISO can tell you exactly what you learn at an INFOPASS appointment.

see ISO - http://www.dhs.gov/files/publications/gc_1305658440339.shtm

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Try submitting an e-request. Or call and ask to submit a service request. They might allow you since you're now out of the processing time frame.

@Bsd058- I have submitted an e-request and got a reply back saying that they will respond to me in 60 days. My PD date is May 15,2012. Anyway, I finally got a hold of an ISO (Tier 2), and this is how it went. It was little weird and awkward. So if anyone went spoke to an ISO, please let me know and tell me what should I had done differently.

After an hour worth of waiting and an ISO Comes on phone

ISO- This is Officer Lorrato

Me- Hi, how are you sir?

ISO- What can I help you with sir?

Me- Sir, I have filed an I-130 petition for my Wife. My application is outside processing window from vermont service center, and it is been 7 months since I filed.

ISO- Are you U.S Citizen?

Me- Yes

ISO- your Last name?

Me- XXXXXXXX

ISO- My First Name? and date of birth

Me- XXXXXX ( I was going to spell it for him, and he said I dont have to)

ISO-Why did you say it is has been 7 months since you filed

Me- I am sorry I must have counted it wrong, it would be by next week.

ISO- Is this the first time you are calling about

Me- I said yed

ISO- We will notify you by the email when we approve your petition

Me- Is there anything I can help to expedite the process?

ISO- I said we will notify you in the mail if we need anything.

So that was it. Pretty Rude, and not conclusive. I feel like I got nothing out of this call, I am still in limbo. I even wonder if this ISO looked up the case or not. I mean he only asked my name and DOB. What that enough? Guys, honestly what should I had done different?

Nothing. You were perfect. Some of them are just stressed with answering the same questions call after call. You didn't do anything wrong. The guy probably was just not in the mood, you know? Anyways, you have a guarantee of 60 days. Since they told you this, if you don't get a response within that timeframe, then I would call them back and get them working on it immediately. Just wait now. You'll be fine. Max waiting will be 2 more months unless you have an RFE. Which, if you respond to it quickly, might add an additional month or so. Good luck!

Hi John,

I have found out that it's pretty useless calling. Last time I called (Wed. 12/5) I spoke with a very nice woman. She was very courteous but was of no help whatsoever. She offered to do a Service Request for me but since I had done one myself the week before I declined. However, this morning I saw an email from USCIS which was a reply to a Service Request!!! Telling me exactly the same thing they had told me when I did my own E Request (i.e. Wait another 90 days). So apparently the ISO lady had put in a service Request without my permission!

It's all so nerve wracking!

@Rezahoss and others who is wondering when then are getting their NOA2 Approval- Its been 7 months since I have filed my I-130. No words as of yet. This is what I did so far. Spoke to the USCIS Several Times, Spoke to the ISO Officer, E- Request. Several mails to the USCIS, Wrote to the Ombudperson in USCIS, and finally reached my Senator office. Finally, I heard the word from my Senator office that my paper is within Adjudicator, and I should know something within the next week. Rezhahoss- Where are you with your I-130? I recommended everyone should be pro-active if they are behind with their I-130

John, I have also done all the things you have done! My senator's office told me also that my case is with an adjudicator and that I should hear from them within 30 days (that was 2 weeks ago). I wrote an email to the ombudsman last week but still have not heard from them. Did you get any response from the Ombudsman?

I hope we will get our NOA2 before the holidays! Keep us posted and good luck!

Rezahoss- Seems like its only few of us who have been struggling with our I-130's. Makes me wonder.

I wonder about it too, sometimes too much! But the fact that your Senator's office have given you a short time frame to hear from USCIS is a very good sign! Good luck!
